Wasiu Ayinde’s House in Lagos: Pictures & Details

Alhaji Olasukanmi Wasiu Ayinde Marchal (also known as KWAM 1), is a Nigerian indigenous Fuji singer. He was born on the 3rd of March, 1957 in Lagos, Nigeria but is a native of Ijebu-Ode. K1 De Ultimate, as most people also know him to be, is a successful singer who has been blessed with not just a rich voice, but fame and wealth over the years.

He ventured into music fully in 1975, and his popularity especially amongst the Yoruba clan has brought him a lofty fortune. One of the ways the Fuji icon has chosen to spend his riches is on his real estate properties.

K1 has several mansions in Nigeria to his name including one at Ago Palace Way in Lagos, his current residence in Ijebu-Ode, one in the same town where his mother lives, and several other houses in the Magodo and Lekki areas of Lagos.

He also owns four properties in Ontario, Canada, one of which his wife, Wendy, and daughter, Isabella live. Let’s take a look at his property in Lagos, Nigeria.

This property is located along Ago Palace Way in Okota, Lagos, and is often referred to as K1’s modest Castle of Peace. It is a castle indeed, as the house is built in grand style with expensive furnishings. It is a one-story duplex directly along the busy dual-carriage road.

The exterior of the house is flushed in a rich cream color, and there are several architectural designs on the body of the palatial manor painted white. You would also observe a massive balcony space on the left wing of the house, and marble fittings beautifully adorn the right wing.

However, K1 no longer resides here. He converted this property to a central mosque to commemorate his 60th birthday in 2017. He donated the building to his Islamic association, Muhtadeen Islamic Foundation on the 24th of February that year.

Since the completion of his current residence in his hometown, Ijebu-Ode, K1 has permanently relocated there. As such, details as to what this property in Lagos looked like as the music icon’s residence are now obscure.

Wasiu Ayinde’s Current Residence

It’s common knowledge that the Nigerian Fuji singer and performer, Wasiu Ayinde is a wealthy man but it turns out people didn’t exactly understand just how much. K1 has left his supporters and music lovers stunned as he announced the opening of his new home in 2017.

The mansion was officially warmed with a small party attended by K1’s family members and a select few of his friends, during the Eid-el-Kabir festival celebration that year. This beautiful and opulent edifice is truly an architectural masterpiece!

The property is located on Liworo Avenue, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, and occupies over 1,800 square meters of land. It is close to the Ijebu-Ode stadium (now called Dipo Dina Stadium) and is estimated to be worth over 2 million dollars.

K1 named the house “Ile Omo Ojusagbola”, meaning the house of the child of Ojusagbola.

Description of the House

K1 certainly does have a unique taste and loves the good life. He has a track record of never settling for anything cheap, and this mansion proves that and more. The house comprises four buildings: the main house, an 8-bedroom guest house, a state-of-the-art gym, and a recording studio.

There is also a gatehouse, staff quarters, and praying area within the property. K1 interestingly also has a mini zoo and a swimming pool. Though worth millions of dollars, this house is definitely worth every dime spent on it.

The house is not just fabulous, but it also has stunning surroundings. The lawn that lines the fence alone is enough to leave you wowed. Every shrub is delicately shaped, and you wouldn’t find a single branch sticking out of place. The scenery is simply breathtaking.

Main House

The interior of K1’s home is just as beautiful as its exterior. The main house has 7 bedrooms (5 upstairs and 2 downstairs), 3 living rooms (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs), a dining room, and a high-tech kitchen. In all, the Wasiu mansion has 20 rooms.

All the rooms are furnished to perfection, with matching curtain drapes in all sections of the house. The master bedroom where K1 sleeps is truly befitting for a king, with comfy sheets and a dazzling chandelier.

The kitchen is neat and spacious. It is rumored that K1 went to get the complete kitchenette himself from Milan, Italy as he loves to cook his own meals. Every piece of furniture and electronics in the house is high-grade, as K1 really took his time to shop for the best.

The main house is supported by 6 Greco-Roman pillars, with high-quality granite flooring. All rooms in the house are fitted with bullet-proof Swiss Trade doors. The Fuji music lord truly lives like the star that he is.

Gym

K1’s gym is stocked with various fitness equipment and even has a pool table. He allegedly built this facility to answer those who question his youthfulness.

Swimming Pool

On entering this residence, the swimming pool and fabulous fountain is the first thing you would be greeted with. It probably is the bluest pool you would ever come across. There is a delightful sun-basking area, replete with lovely umbrellas and comfortable sunbeds. The pool area is truly alluring.

Wasiu Ayinde’s Mini-Zoo

We have saved the best for the last. K1’s mini-zoo (as he would like to call it), boasts of an expansive collection of various animals. Although he calls it “mini”, some official zoos might actually envy his. Almost every animal you can think of is present here, and that shows just how much the music icon loves nature.

Among his collection of animals, you will find a goat, gazelle, tortoises, crocodile, and even a python (most likely defanged). It has been observed that K1 is mostly fond of his feathered animals. He owns parrots, peacocks, chickens, eagles, cranes, and ostriches.

He loves his ostrich birds the most. These beloved creatures are tall and tower well above K1 in the pictures that they take of them. The animals mentioned here are the few that we were opportune to see. Who knows how many more there could be?

Without a doubt, Wasiu Ayinde is a wealthy man and lives in a beautiful home to show for it. He has worked so hard to achieve all that he has in his music career, and his fortune is truly well-deserved.
